We provide design services centered on bridges and other civil engineering structures managed by the Metropolitan Expressway, expressway companies, and local governments, as well as traffic engineering services involving the analysis and review of road traffic conditions.

Civil Engineering Design

Our design services cover a wide range of areas, including new bridge construction design, seismic design, repair and reinforcement design for civil engineering structures, and proximity impact assessment.

    We provide comprehensive bridge design services, ranging from bridge replacement studies to structural type selection and construction planning.

  • Repair & Reinforcement Design

    Drawing on our extensive track record, we propose repair methods for bridges and other civil engineering structures and study repair solutions using new construction techniques.

  • Seismic Strengthening Design (Bridges)

    For bridges designed and constructed under older standards, we select reinforcement methods that satisfy current standards and propose the optimal reinforcement approach based on site conditions and other factors.

  • Proximity Impact Assessment

    When new buildings are planned in close proximity to the Metropolitan Expressway, we formulate investigation plans and conduct FEM analysis to assess the impact on existing civil engineering structures, ensuring the continued safe use of the expressway for its customers.

Facility Design

Drawing on years of experience in Metropolitan Expressway construction and management, as well as accumulated inspection and maintenance data, we provide optimal repair design services. We carefully examine the design philosophy and inspection and maintenance history of ancillary facilities and formulate repair plans with an eye to future operational needs, proposing the most appropriate design and construction plans based on the current condition of each facility.

Traffic Engineering

To help users travel more comfortably on the Metropolitan Expressway, we provide road traffic information services, study traffic operations, analyze traffic and congestion countermeasures, and examine road safety measures.

Road Traffic Information Services

We operate an information website (mew-ti) and social media channels (X/LINE) that provide real-time traffic information to customers using the Metropolitan Expressway. Through mew-ti, users can quickly access the latest information on traffic congestion, road restrictions, and the fastest routes from entrance to exit on the Metropolitan Expressway network.

Traffic Operations Planning and Review

With the aim of improving traffic flow and ensuring safety through information provision on the Metropolitan Expressway, we study the enhancement of traffic control system functions, including the effective utilization and improvement of variable message signs and other information provision tools.

Traffic Analysis and Congestion Countermeasures

We analyze and review traffic conditions and congestion patterns on the Metropolitan Expressway, working to provide smooth and comfortable road services.

Road Safety Countermeasures

We conduct detailed analysis of vehicle behavior in traffic accidents on the Metropolitan Expressway, organizing baseline data and developing road safety improvement plans.

Impact Assessment, Measurement Planning, and Inspection for Construction Works Adjacent to the Metropolitan Expressway
